Title: “Code Raiders: Decoding the Mystery of Product Codes” E-Learning

Client: Waterpik

Tools Used in Development: Lectora, Canva, Genially, MurfAI, Audacity, Camtasia

Time in Development: 2 months

Collaborators: Kim Erlandsen, Austin West

Executive Summary:

I designed this interactive and gamified e-learning for Waterpik employees who are new to the oral care marketing and sales department with the purpose of of familiarizing them with the oral care product line and the oral care product coding system. My overall aim was to reduce the amount of time it takes an employee to retrieve specific and relevant product information in meetings and workplace conversations in order to improve workflow and maximize the the value of meeting minutes and employee hours.

I built the course in Lectora, using an engaging narrative to pique the learner’s interest and create a meaningful and immersive learning experience. Taking the company’s brand colors into account and drawing on Generative AI, I created compelling visuals and voice over narration that sets a welcoming tone. I integrated mini-lessons (built in Genially) to further support the learner’s active engagement with the content.

Title: “Code Raiders: Decoding the Mystery of Product Codes” Mini-Lesson

Client: Waterpik

Tools Used in Development: Genially, Canva, MurfAI, Audacity, Camtasia

Time in Development: 6 hours

Collaborators: Austin West, Kim Erlandsen

Executive Summary:

This mini-lesson, created in Genially, is a component of the e-learning described above. I situated this presentation toward the end of the course to provide learners with instruction on how to to retrieve specific product information from a company -wide product chart, supporting the final learning objective. I ensured that the the design adhered to the overall narrative framing the product chart as “map” that the learner must follow.

Pairing voice over and animations, I referenced previously covered content to reinforce the learner’s understanding of earlier instruction, highlighting its connection to the lesson at hand, encouraging both retention and transfer. I provided necessary background information, in order to contextualize the learner’s task of navigating the product chart, which they are able to discover at their own pace. Integrating a Camtasia tutorial, I provided a demonstration of the learner’s task, preparing them for a guided assessment which immediately follows the presentation. Following the entire e-learning, I provide the learner with access to the product chart allowing them to smoothly integrate their learning into their day to day work at Waterpik.
